Areté

ABOUT ARETÉ

Built from practice.

A multidisciplinary team united by a simple idea: the principles we work with should be lived, not merely understood.

BEHIND THE PRACTICE

THE PEOPLE BEHIND ARETÉ

Different disciplines, shared standards. Areté is built by people who practise what they ask of others, bringing experience, curiosity and real-world perspective to their work.

Daniel Aranda

Founder / Mentor

A lifelong climber with an enduring interest in strength, performance and human potential, Daniel founded Areté to bring those worlds together. He works at the intersection of strategy, behaviour and life design, helping people gain clarity, make better decisions and build lives that can hold up in the real world.

Clara Montiel

Nutrition & Metabolic Health

Clara brings scientific rigour and a practical, deeply human approach to nutrition. Her work focuses on metabolic health, sustainable eating habits and helping people understand what genuinely supports their health and performance. Curious by nature and quietly meticulous, she believes good nutrition should support a full life rather than become another thing to manage.

Álex Ferrer

Performance, Movement & Longevity

Álex works across strength, movement and long-term physical capability. With a background shaped by training, gymnastics and competitive sport, he is less interested in short-lived peaks than in building bodies that stay strong, adaptable and capable for decades. His approach combines disciplined training with pragmatism, curiosity and a healthy respect for recovery.

Elena Vidal

Life & Performance Coaching

Elena helps people understand the patterns behind their choices, habits and ambitions. Drawing on psychology, ancient philosophy and mindfulness, she brings a broader life-design perspective to questions of clarity, emotional resilience and meaningful change. Calm, perceptive and precise, she creates space for difficult questions without turning personal development into endless introspection.

WHY ARETÉ

THE IDEA

People do not experience training, nutrition, work, stress and recovery as separate systems. Yet support is often built that way. Areté exists to bring those pieces into one coherent picture — not to optimise every part of life, but to help people make better decisions across the whole of it.

CAPABILITY OVER DEPENDENCY

Good guidance should leave you more capable, not more reliant on it.

CONTEXT MATTERS

A plan only works if it can hold up under work, travel, pressure and change.

DIFFERENT DISCIPLINES. SHARED CONTEXT.

Training, nutrition and coaching each bring a different lens. We keep those lenses distinct, but the person at the centre is always the same.

THE NAME

The name comes from the Greek idea of areté: excellence expressed through character and action. We use it less as an ideal to reach than as a direction — becoming more capable, more deliberate and better able to live what matters.
